How fabulous is our spring project! It started off as bunnies for Easter and soon grew into unicorns, cats and mermaids. My mind can’t stop thinking about new designs! Highland Coo is definitely on my list next.
I designed this project so that all ages and stages can have a go at making it, with plenty of different options for materials and glue. I had plenty of wool in for a different project which I’d fallen out of love with, so it felt good to use lots of it up. I also experimented with running sparkle through some of the poms.
There is a longer YouTube video, with the step by step process and I’ll be making the unicorn design. We also have a short/reel/tiktok – whatever you want to call it – for those of you who prefer a speedier tutorial and here I’m making the bunny. The ear design came about because I didn’t want the ears to flop and this added so much dimension and character to the bunny wreath.
Little Miss Drop Stitch has slowly but surely been gaining traction lately and we’d love to engage with even more of you . Look out next week (w/c 4th March 2024) for competitions on each of our social platforms; YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. There’ll be a competition to win a wreath on each platform and in return we get to say a big thank you to current and new followers.
As always, we would be overjoyed to see your makes from this tutorial.
Thank you and take care,
Little Miss Drop Stitch.
