How exciting! Here I will be blogging my crafty trips in the UK and abroad.

It all started with a wool shop in Dublin, then I went on the Arne and Carlos knitting holiday to Norway in February 2023. Since then, I have been hooked on planning holidays with plenty of craft shops and woolly heritage. My next plans outside the UK are to take my stitching friends to Dublin and a solo trip to Latvia.

I thought this would be a great opportunity to support local and independent craft shops in the UK and abroad. The more shops I explore, I feel I am gaining a good impression of what the place, people and heritage is all about and how they differ. For instance, in Lancaster I went to three craft shops (two yarn one fabric) and they all had completely different vibes.

Maybe this time next year, Rodney, I’ll be doing this as a professional and can claim my purchases on expenses. Do let us know if you have been to any of our visited destinations, or suggest places for us to explore when we do get there!
