A Hint of Summer Cardigan

Little Miss Drop Stitch is almost a year old (although I’m not entirely sure when!). I have worked very hard, but still can’t believe the traction my little channel on YouTube has gained. I wanted to thank all my subscribers by creating a free pattern for you to enjoy.

The last free woolly pattern was a pumpkin at Halloween, so you are well overdue a woolly treat. This is also the first crochet pattern for LMDS.

It is a recipe style pattern, meaning you adapt to fit your (or recipient’s) measurements, as well as preferred style, such as baggy or closer fitting. The pattern is very forgiving if you do not have the recipient to hand, or want it to be a surprise.

I have made an accessible written pattern, in addition to a video follow a-long tutorial, so everyone can get involved. For beginners, or those needing a refresher, I have made video tutorials on all the stitches involved, which are linked on the YouTube video description.

Thank you once again for all your support. Yes, it’s great if you can buy a pattern from us, but I visibly see the traction any form of support gives us. Free ways you can support us is by downloading the Ravelry pattern, posting your makes, subscribing and liking our YouTube videos and best of all, watching our videos the whole way through. Did you know that clicking on and off a video massively reduces the average watch time?

You are a hero for choosing to support small creators. I hope you enjoy the free A Hint of Summer Cardigan. Links are below.

Many thanks and take care,

Rachel G x
