Enjoy this FREE sewing pattern to make a reversible lined tote bag. I really enjoyed myself making this and can see myself making them as sustainable gift bags with my leftover fabrics.
The tote bags in the tutorial I made for two dogs-Obi and Reggie. Now their pawrents can carry their bits and bobs to Aunty Rachel’s in style.
Click here to access the step-by-step YouTube tutorial. The pattern pieces are nice, easy rectangles and full measurements are given in the video. If you would prefer, below are printable files for the pattern which can be taped together. Here is a video on how to assemble. Paper patterns can be useful to ensure the fabric is cut straight and used economically.
A1 size pattern
This can be printed as A1, with a printer that can handle this paper size. This file is also useful to look how the finished pattern should look, when pieced together.
A4 tiled pattern pieces
If you have access to an A4 printer, which will be your standard at-home printer, use the file below. This has already been sized and arranged onto A4 ’tiles’, which are then taped together and assembled to create larger pattern pieces. Watch the YouTube video to put the tiles in order and match together. Measure the test square and if this is incorrect, you may need to adjust your printer settings.
